Medieval Festival in Mauterndorf

Medieval Festival in Mauterndorf

Every year in July, Mauterndorf hosts a medieval festival all weekend long. In fact, the whole town is wrapped in the aura of the Middle Ages. Numerous different groups perform. At many sites, visitors are treated to shows of combat, juggling, theater and much more. Visit the castle, the knights’ pavilions and many market stands. Here, you will find merchants offering frills and essentials, as you will artisans and spinners. Music and dance are an important part of the event, too, along with medieval performances by children’s groups from Mauterndorf.
